Fit is a comparison, not a judgement
- Run shortfall = 55 m minus your straight run, floored at zero
- Power shortfall = 418 kW minus your service, floored at zero
- Lines needed = your target divided by 4,000 kg per 24 h, rounded up
What a shortfall actually means
- A short run is a building question first: the corridor can sometimes be found by turning the train, which changes the layout drawing rather than the machine
- A short supply is a service question: 418 kW installed is the connected load, and your transformer and switchgear have to carry it
- Two lines are two trains, two corridors and two supplies — not one bigger machine
